D.I.Y. : Painting Your Footwear

Hi all,
After a successful attempt of coloring my Catwalk Gladiators. I laid my hands on a pair of old sandals. I generally prefer things which I have used plenty of times. Reason behind using the used and old is, firstly, I am able to create a new look for the old one and re-use it. And secondly, if sadly my attempt fails I have no regrets of ruining any new article...

These nude flat sandals were my favorite and I used them a lot. One look at this snap shows how much I have tortured them. Anyways, I wasn't in a mood to part with them. So decided to color them too. Now the question was which colors to opt for. Neons, pastels and color block trends being the latest fad, I thought mixing two trends. So I picked color block and pastels. The result was this:

The color palette comprises of navy blue, pastel green and dark green.

I have used Camel company's Artists' Acrylic Colors. And after the paint dried I have applied 2 layers of Camel company's Picture Varnish.

What I love about them is that I can team them with variety of apparels.
